Interview with CEO Dieter Weisshaar after the first 6 months
myneva
Dieter Weisshaar, the new CEO of the myneva Group, has been on board for six months. myneva has changed in recent months and Matthias Goldbeck, myneva’s external communications advisor, talks to him about these changes and his thoughts.
Matthias Goldbeck: You've been with us for six months now. What are your first experiences, what surprised you about myneva?
Dieter Weisshaar: My expectations were high. During the introductory phase I had a lot of conversations and also gathered information from outside the company. But in reality, they were exceeded . We have great people, products, incredible expertise and skills in our ranks. We also have an exciting market that plays such an important role in society and can be helped so much by digitalization. The sense of purpose is palpable. Plus, we have an international reach that sets us apart from many of our competitors. This combination is indeed unique and gives us access to innovations in many markets that we can apply elsewhere.
Speaking of positive: how does your mood fit in with our business development?
It also pays off! If the positive experience is also reflected in the business figures, that is of course a great confirmation. We had a very good year in 2023 with a strong finish. Our turnover has grown above the market and our customer base went from 3,500 to 3,900, which means that our products and solutions are in demand in the marketplace and that we also deliver promptly.
We are also hiring in all areas, as we look to gain market share in 2024. We have also strengthened our management team once again to deliver this growth. In Switzerland, we have reorganized our team under the leadership of Hanspeter Kipfer as the Managing Director as well as Matthias Weinhold to expand our market presence.
We are investing in all markets, and this is being well received.
How do customers benefit from the new myneva strategy?
First of all, our internationality also pays off for local customers, as we have access to innovative developments across European markets and can apply them in other markets. A good example are the European digital platforms in different countries like Finland with Kanta, Germany with telematics infrastructure, Switzerland with SHIP, Austria with ELGA etc. Our expertise in eHealth digital ecosystems is therefore very strong.
It is important for our customers that we continue to develop all our products and connect them via modern service architectures, so that we can make use of new services and applications in all our products. Examples are the new mobile applications that make the work of caregivers - online and offline - easier with myneva.care or myneva.connect that connects all parties involved in the care process - caregivers, clients and relatives - or new data analytics services that provide modern analytic and reporting capabilities based on data lake technology.
In Austria, we are part of a research project to actively use speech recognition in care with AI. It is essential that we implement the models under the highest data protection and privacy requirements.
We call this path with the further development of all existing myneva products into the future investment protection for our customers and the transformation into a more digital future with ecosystems in eHealth.
What can your team be proud of?
Over the past few years, myneva has made ten acquisitions to form the myneva group, which offers first-class technical and functional solutions in all areas of the care market. In many markets, we are the market leader or at least among the top three providers in each market we play in. We have achieved excellent team integration. This is evident to our customers, as we are always happy to receive references for our customer service and the expertise of our teams who can quickly implement projects for customers.
What is your outlook for the future?
We operate in a market that is changing and will connect the various participants digitally via ecosystems in the future; e-prescriptions and digital patient records are the first steps - myneva is very well positioned with its expertise. We will continue to invest in innovation and, as the European market leader, play a formative role in helping the care sector to better master the challenges. Digitalization can help to simplify documentation, administration and much more to gain more time for care through productivity.
Thanks a lot, Dieter.
